Step 1

Selection of wood

We start with solid wood – walnut, boxwood, acacia and maple – selected for its strength, texture and warmth. Each variety is chosen with consideration for how it can be shaped, patinated and balanced in color and weight.

Step 2

Design by hand

Each piece and each board is created one at a time. Not on an assembly line, but in workshops where the lathe is controlled with many years of experience. It takes time – and you can both see and feel it.

Step 3

Finishing and assembly

Surfaces are sanded, edges are smoothed, and the board is assembled with precision. Everything must feel smooth and well-balanced – both when you touch it and when you play.

Step 4

Polishing with care

The board and pieces are given a natural finish that protects the wood and highlights its structure. We do not use shiny varnishes. The board and pieces should have a calm sheen that lets the material speak.

Step 5

Checking and packing

Each set is manually checked and packaged simply and securely. So it arrives as it should – ready to be used. And hopefully stand out for many, many years.
