A handcrafted, foldable chess set in solid wood with magnetic pieces and built-in storage. The board measures 30 × 30 cm when open and is compact enough for both home and travel.
Pieces and playing experience
The pieces are turned from solid wood: the light pieces from boxwood and the dark pieces from acacia. Their magnetic bases keep them stable on the board’s concealed iron core, even when the board is moved or used while travelling.
When the set is folded, each piece rests in its own carved compartment. This keeps the pieces separate and prevents them from rattling around or knocking against one another.

The board folds easily and closes with a discreet magnetic fastening. The built-in storage protects the pieces, while the set’s compact design makes it easy to store and take with you.
Size and use
The board measures 30 × 30 cm when open and 30 × 15 cm when folded. The king is 57 mm tall, and the squares measure 30 mm.
Its size makes the set suitable for smaller tables, travel and homes where a full tournament-size chess set would take up too much space. If you prefer a larger set with classic tournament proportions, we recommend our 55 × 55 cm chess set.

Please note: When open, the chessboard sits a few millimetres above the tabletop because of the velour padding around the hinges. This protects the surface from scratches without affecting play.
